Is xdefiant good9/3/2023 ![]() ![]() It’s Ubisoft what did you expect, honestly the devs should off themselves being as lazy, greedy and pathetic they are, thing is though YOU ALL keep giving them your money, STOP, these wastes of life don’t deserve it, call me harsh but it’s the truth, people like YOU use YOUR hard earned money to support Ubi hoping they’ll give you a good title like the old days but nope, they give you nothing but half assed garbage that is loaded with bugs and glitches that never get fixed, server issues never resolved, micro transactions that are insanely overpriced and an anti cheat that does absolutely nothing, Ubi’s nonsense ends when you say it does, stop complaining, start boycotting, stop asking why Ubi is so shit and show them they are by completely boycotting them, don’t follow them on nothing, don’t buy any games or dlc, new or old, don’t buy merch, don’t watch any of their vids and don’t play any of their games until they lose so much money they need to shut down, until you understand that and do it Ubi will continue taking advantage of your stupidity, downvote me, disagree or whatever, what I stated is a fact, you want good games? Stop supporting bad ones so making a good one is their only option. To them, they might believe that Watch Dogs as an IP does not bring an immediate return on investment which is what they expect. Shareholders will not approve of Ubi investing in a franchise where 2 out of the 3 games in the series can't sell all that well at full price at launch and believe there's a pattern that may carry over to the fourth. On its face that may seem like a good thing, but not really if we are serious about the prospects for a fourth WD game if the same happens for Legion. The only reason Ubisoft said it was one of their best selling titles in May 2020 is because like with most Ubi games, it's constantly on sale. This isn't unlike how WD2 didn't do so well when it launched either. If it was, they would have discussed it as much as they did AC Valhalla, both of which they aggressively marketed last year. Putting two and two together, it sounds like its commercial performance wasn't at all what Ubisoft was expecting. It's also selling at $19.99 for just the Standard Edition a lot of the time during sales, which isn't long after its launch. A few months ago, it wasn't even discussed during one of their investor calls until someone brought it up. The Watch Dogs brand may be on ice as far as we know. Ghost Recon is very old series, but Wildlife gave it a new breath, using some principles from Splinter Cell's stealth. Assassin's Creed existed before global monetization, it is iconic series and it started to rot in microtransactions since Black Flag. Plus, the XDefiant itself isn't bad, as I said in the beginning. Take my friends for example: I value them, but I doubt that they played Blacklist, and even if they did, they never bought it. They will support this game and those who want Splinter Cell or something will just lose. It's we who talk here, right? Most of young people don't care about anything, they just want to have fun - and they will have fun in XDefiant. I don't like to say this but the best way to change things is to boycott XDefiant. But we don't have a singleplayer game - and will we ever have? It would look good as an addition to the new Splinter Cell game, like it was with some multiplayer game which was released along with Resident Evil 3: Remake. They don't want another shooter when they already have unique Rainbow Six: Siege and numerous similar to XDefiant shooters from other publishers. And this is why there is so much space for monetization. All of them are open-world, all of them offer different styles of gameplay, all of them are very long to beat or infinite at all. In the mid-10's, Ubisoft is recognizable for replacements for it's franchises which can be easily monetized: Assassin's Creed replaced Prince of Persia, The Crew replaced Driver and Ghost Recon replaced Splinter Cell*. Ubisoft was recognizable for such games as Prince of Persia, Driver (at least Parallel Lines and especially San Francisco) and, of course, Splinter Cell. I think that XDefiant is not bad, but it's background is awful. ![]() (#spoiler "Subject") This is a spoiler with a subject If it violates any of the subreddit's existing rules.
